President

ABOUT THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT

The role of the President of the Thelomathesian Society is to:

1. Preside over all meetings of the Senate and the Executive Board.
2. Serve as the spokesperson and representative of the entire student body at all times.
3. Participate on any Council of University Governance.
4. Be a member of all Senate and University committees.
5. Serve as a Student Delegate to the Board of Trustees.
6. Have the power to create and place legislation on the floor of the Senate.
7. Have the primary responsibility of communicating student affairs to the President of the University and the Board of Trustees.
8. Have the primary responsibility of communicating student affairs to the Chair of Faculty Council and the SLUSAF Central Treasurer.
9. In consultation with the Executive Board, determine the Senate agenda.
10. Have Senate veto power, subject to a two-thirds override by the Senate.
