Choose one of the organizations above. For your organization, you should spend at least 1.5 hours reading through materials having to do with gay marriage on the website. Take notes on:
1) The organization's positions on gay marriage, civil unions, and any other form of partner recognition that they discuss. How do they discuss these issues? What is your sense of their target audience? Why?
2) The overall state of the politics of gay marrriage. So, for example, are there critical legal cases, constitutional amendments, etc? What is the current state of law and social policy?
You should then write a 3 page paper in which you discuss the organization's position, audience, etc. We will, though, also use your notes on the second question in class on Monday.
