| You have seen the backgrounds on these pages and I hope you have been reminded of the toll disasters take around the world each year. In many respects these costs, both in dollars and human suffering, are more the result of our behavior than anything else.
Thankfully, sociological research has shown that people in crisis due to naturally occuring situations tend to be both resourceful and altruistic. |
