The Progressive Larries are a group of current and former St. Lawrence University students who are interested in a variety of progressive causes. Although, they have this much in common, they engage in lively discussion and debate on their e-mail list, which is only open to former St. Lawrence students. For info, e-mail Andrew Van Alstyne.
The genesis of the Progressive Larries came during the anti-corporate centered globalization protests against the IMF and World Bank in Washington, DC, during April 2000. At the same time, a new St. Lawrence group was founded, the SAGE Coalition (St. Lawrence Activists for Global Equity).
Members of the Progressive Larries can truly be found all over the world, many of them working on a variety of causes.
