SAGE Coalition:
G20/World Bank/IMF Meetings
Ottawa, Canada, November 16-18, 2001

The Story

Following the 9/11 attacks, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund cancelled their fall meetings, which had been scheduled for the end of September in Washington, DC. In mid October, the World Bank and the IMF announced that they would be holding abridged committee meetings in Ottawa from November 16-18. In addition to these committee meetings, the G20 would also be meeting to discuss the state of the global economy.
