Spike Lee's debut film, shot in black and white, explores the sexual and emotional adventures of Nola. Nola's three lovers are a professional who's obssessed with his body, a sensitive lover, and an immature basketball fan. Spike Lee's Mars Blackman adds humor to the film. In the end, Nola's three-lover predicament challenges her to action. An extremely frank and honest portrayal of love and sexuality.
