During the weekend of April 15-17, 2000, over forty St. Lawrence students, alumni, and faculty joined 30,000 other protestors at the annual spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank. On April 15, the SLU group attended a forum on globalization related issues sponsored by the Institute for Policy Studies. During the 16th and 17th, we took to the street, trying to shut down the meetings. Protestors called for an immediate cancellation of third world debt and the elimination of the twso IFIs.
