University of Nevada at Las Vegas, REU.  Ten weeks, June 2 – August 8, 2008.  meals & lodging provided.  Visit http://www.physics.unlv.edu/reu/.    To apply, send a copy of your transcript and arrange to have 2 letters of recommendtion sent from faculty members who know you well.  There is no application form; instead.write a one-page letter describing your career goals, interest in this program and any relevant work experience and achievements.  The deadline for receipt is March 3, 2008, with offers to be made shortly thereafter.  Please include telephone numbers where you can be reached after March 3.  Application materials (except transcripts) can be sent by email or FAX.

Montana State University, Dept. of Physics will offer 10-12 REU Positions in SOLAR PHYSICS during Summer 2008.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduates typically finishing their sophomore or junior year. NO CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT. (Foreign students are supported from non-NSF sources.)  Dates: June 2 – August 8, 2008.  Stipends will be $4410 plus $330 food allowance for the 10-week program.
