Ohm's Law:

Ohm's Law

I vs. V

  • Meter settings (AC!!):

    Voltmeter (digital)
    • 700 volts
    Ammeter (digital)
    • 2 A {Resistors, incandescent bulb}
    • 200 mA {Neon bulb}
    Ammeter (analog)
    • 1000 mA {Resistors}
    • 250 mA {Incandescent bulb}
    • 25 mA {Neon bulb}

  • Collect data up to 100 volts for the bulbs, 75 volts for resistors (Note to instructor: this only applies if the digital ammeter is used! This will keep the current through the resistors under 1A. When using the analog ammeter, the limits of the ammeter will restrict the voltage.)
