My research interests fall into two main areas: graph theory and mathematics education. My research in graph theory involves hamiltonian- connectedness properties of graphs, and I enjoy working with undergraduates on a variety of research problems involving graph theory. My work in mathematics education is focused primarily on the calculus sequence, and I am a member of the Calculus Consortium based at Harvard. I am the author or co-author of 4 books and 16 publications, and I have run calculus reform workshops for faculty members all over the country. I have been teaching at St. Lawrence University since receiving my Ph.D. in 1981. I love to teach, and I always enjoy the challenge of helping my students understand and appreciate mathematics.
