I received my Ph.D in statistics from Florida State University in 1972 and have been a Cummings Professor of Mathematics since 1990. My research interests are in the areas of optimization theory (continuous time, fractional, matrix, multiobjective programming), generalized convexity and it's applications, and inequalities. Application of optimization to statistics, applied probability and statistics. Dermatoglyphics (study of ridged skin) as applied to criminology, genetics and physical anthropology. Recreational mathematics and mathematical models. Associate Editor of the Journal of Information and Optimization Sciences (JIOS) and Advisory Editor to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics. Quite often I take responsibilities of a foreign examiner of Ph.D. theses, refereeing techical manuscripts for various journals around the world and reviewing articles for Mathematical Reviews. I was a Fulbright Lecturer at the University of Delhi, India in 1988. At St.Lawrence teaching responsibilities include teaching various services courses and an optimization course at the junior/senior level. |
