Don Rodbell '83 to give 2004 Ferguson Lecture

UNION COLLEGE GEOLOGIST TO PRESENT LECTURE AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON – Donald T. Rodbell, a 1983 graduate of St. Lawrence University and professor of geology at Union College, will present the 2004 Susan  Caroline Ferguson Memorial Lecture in Geology on Thursday, April 15, at  8 p.m. in Bloomer Auditorium, Brown Hall. The lecture is open to the public, free of charge.  Rodbell will present a look at the extraction of information concerning past climates in the Andes Mountains using natural archives such as glacial deposits and lake sediments. The title of his talk is  "Science and Adventure in the Andes Mountains: Paleoclimate Records  from Alpine Lakes and Glacial Deposits."
