University of Iowa Summer Undergraduate MSTP (Medical Scientists Training Program) Research (SUMR) program is for highly motivated undergraduates interested in future combined MD/PhD training. and is sponsored by the University of Iowa Medical Scientist Training Program, a combined MD/PhD Program. It provides the opportunity to conduct hands-on research with physician-scientists at the University of Iowa. Each SUMR Program participant is paired with a current MD/PhD student in a big brother/sister mentoring relationship. Finally, students have the opportunity to present their research findings at the end of the session. Program runs from June 4 - July 27, 2007. Clemson University Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) in Chemistry. NSF-funded program runs from May 21 to July 27, 2007.. Special note for underrepresented minorities in Chemistry: 5 positions reserved for minority students. Target of 60% females in the program. Stipend: $3500 for 10 week program, free housing in a university dormitory and partial travel support. Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate chemistry. Deadline for receipt of applications is March 9, 2007 (but applications will continue to be received until all positions are filled. Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Summer Undergraduate Research Program. 10 weeks beginning on the first Monday in June 2007. Stipend of $3000 + housing.
