SLUSAACS

Purpose

The object of SLUSAACS is to give an opportunity for students to become better members of the community, secure the intellectual stimulation that arises from professional association, obtain experience in preparing and presenting technical material before audiences, foster a professional spirit among the members, instill a professional pride in the chemical sciences, and to foster an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges of the modern chemist. The main events planned by the members aim to better serve the surrounding area through community service and activities in local schools. As a group, the members interact with each other and exchange ideas and share interests and concerns, both academic and non-academic. The meetings resemble a great chance for the group to get together not only to plan activities and events, but to socialize and communicate with one another. This is a great atmosphere to stimulate creativity and take responsibility, whether by planning activities or taking part in them. (Click here for more info or to enter site!)
