There are 13 doctoral level faculty members currently in the Biology Department. Along with being outstanding teachers in their fields, each member maintains an active and productive program of continued learning and inquiry which results in the publication of articles in numerous journals and membership and participation in professional societies. There are also three academic support persons, three General Biology specialists and a microscopy specialist who teach in and support the academic program. This continually developing faculty and staff provides an informal, friendly environment offering students the opportunity to prepare for careers in research, teaching and the health professions.
